Happy December, everyone! Can you believe November is already behind us?
Now that Alora is at an age where she can catch on to the excitement of holidays I thought it would be fun to do a Christmas countdown. I made up a list of about 30 Chirstmassy (pretty sure that's not a real word) activities to pick though. This way I have a little flexibility in case there is no snow on "make a snowman with dad" day or we run out of marshmallows on "enjoy hot chocolate" day. Depending on how the day is going, we'll pick something big or little from our list and play it up so Alora can get excited about it, too.
For December First (day one), we put on some Christmas music (much to Jake's dismay) and dug out the boxes of decorations. Alora had a blast! She twirled around the house with her stocking, was in awe of the music boxes and was very "helpful" at putting out the decorations.
Want to join in the fun? Just make a list of all the things you'd like to do before the holidays and pick through one or two each day. I'll be posting mine each day, so share your countdown activities in the comments below. Have fun!
